Keeping it Keto At City Walk Universal Studios Orlando

My family and I really love Universal Studios (this is NOT a paid post by the way). The kids are huge dinosaur fans and my husband LOVES all things Harry Potter (which also rubbed off on the kids too). Since it is more affordable than Disney we usually go once a year. And since adopting a keto lifestyle almost 5 years ago I have found that I just feel my best when I stick to keto. So when I am on vacations where I will be more active (ie. walking MILES in the park) I usually like to stick to keto so I have more energy and my joints aren’t achy from all the inflammation that sugar and carbs has on me. So this year I decided to make a big list for all of you so you can easily navigate the dining options for when you want to eat out. I usually like to bring some of my own food too since I enjoy it, but it also helps to keep costs down too! I will separate the info into two posts. The first will be City Walk dining. Then I will share another post on dining in the park and keeping it keto! And remember, I stay keto because it is my choice and I feel best eating this way. But if you decided to have a treat that wasn’t keto there is NOTHING wrong with that! It is what we do 90% of the time (the majority) that impacts our results. That 10% of the time that we have a treat or go off plan doesn’t undo anything! So if you do decide to treat yourself to something special or off plan just hop back on the keto bus after and move on! No shame, no need to fast, or anything extreme. That is the benefit of making it a lifestyle!

This is one of my favorites in City Walk! They have an extensive whiskey menu and the lamb and steak options are incredible!

Signature Bison Burger- hold the bun and cheese sauce and ask for sliced cheese. You can request extra lettuce to wrap the burger in.

Salmon BLTA- Hold the bread. You can request it over a side salad.

 

A fun spot and very casual. A perfect lunch spot to take a break and cool off after a busy morning in the park.

Blackened Salmon- Hold the rice, beans, and pineapple salsa. Served over a house salad.

Cheeseburger in Paradise- Hold the bun and sauce. Ask for extra lettuce to wrap the burger in. Go with a mixed green salad as a side.

Black and Bleu Burger- Hold the bun. Ask for extra lettuce to wrap the burger in. Go with a mixed green salad as a side.

Rancho Deluxe Burger- Hold the bun. Ask for extra lettuce to wrap the burger in. Go with a mixed green salad as a side.

Fajitas are one of my favorite keto options. I just hold the tortilla and have them over greens!

Aperitivos

Tableside guacamole- hold the chips. I asked for sliced peppers and celery to dip and they were kind enough to oblige

 

Ensalada

Ensalada de taco- hold the black beans, corn, tortilla chips, and dressing. Ask for guac and/or sour cream for dressing.

Ensalada Cesar- hold the tamale fritters and tortilla strips

 

Fajitas

Pollo/Carne- hold the tortilla and ask for it to be served over lettuce.

 

I love the aioli here!! I could just put it on everything!!

Big Al’s Yellowtail- Hold the dipping sauce and request plain soy sauce or the jalapeno aioli.

 

Sushi

Any sashimi is fine. That is sushi without the rice. Dip in soy sauce if you like.
